Criteria:

First preference will be given to graduate of Hay Springs High School who resides on a farm in the Hay Springs area and whose family's primary source of income comes from their farm or ranch activities. Second preference will be to a graduate of Hay Springs High School. Third Preference will be given to a son or daughter of a family who resides in the Hay Springs area Fourth preference shall be given to a son or daughter of a family who resides in Sheridan County.

Congratulations on your selection as the recipient of the Gordon J. Bernhardt Scholarship. My name is Gordon Bernhardt. I am a 1978 graduate of Hay Springs High School and the President, CEO and Founder of Bernhardt Wealth Management--one of Washington DC's top registered investment advisory firms. I created this scholarship for two reasons. First, Mom and Dad raised me to work hard, do the right thing and help others. This scholarship is one way to give back to my hometown and to Chadron State College (CSC). Second, CSC holds a special place in my heart. I wouldn't be the same person without the experiences I had at CSC and the influences of the faculty, staff and CSC community.
